All australians should be so appreciative of our universal health care, I am, after living in the USA and seeing their health system if your"not insured" is second rate, we are so lucky,as for Canberra Public Hospital absolutely magnificent care especially the wonderful caring and well manned nurses from India throughly professional first class nurses.

I have had occasion to use TCH twice in the last year and have found it to be very good. As the only major hospital in Canberra that is just as well. Yes, it is bureaucratic like all large hospitals, and yes, visitor parking is an expensive nightmare, but the standard of treatment & staff seems to make up for it. Lastly, the food is streets ahead of anything in the NSW hospital system - an important fact since meals can be a big event when you are confined.

When only the best care will do. Who needs. Private care. It is over rated.
