Friendly helpful staff from front desk to nurses. Pleasant clean private room. Food very good for a hospital, variety and quantity. Only negative is the coffee (Bushells) served on the ward which is awful, luckily the Hudsons Coffee Shop on the ground floor does a very good cappuccino!

Has the potential to be much better. I went there as it was recommend highly by friends who have been here two years ago. There are well trained nurses, but not enough of them; but they seem overworked and the friendliness and politeness seemed often forced rather than genuine. One midwife in particular made our visit miserable; presumably if we hadn't had to deal with her as often we wouldn't be as unhappy with it.

I took my 15yo daughter to Emergency at 4am yesterday morning because she woke up holding her head in her hands complaining of an awful headache and a stiff neck and piercing back pain and had a temperature and was vomiting. I was told by the very unfriendly doctor that she has a tension headache and sent home with a cost of $380. Last night she had a temperature of 40 degrees and this morning the doctor checked her throat and she had an acute strep throat infection and is now on penicillin. Had he checked her throat he may have picked this up instead of making me feel like a neurotic mother. Westmead would have given better service and maybe the staff including the nurses would've been friendlier too. Very disappointing! Won't go there again.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with people at the front desk who were quite rude and "lazy" in their attitude towards the me in getting my papers in order. There was a wait of nearly two hours before it was sorted out and this is after a demand of payment from this rude individual who did not clarify matters with my health cover before asking for payment. I think a huge and excellent facility like the one you got there could do with more pleasant people at the front desk. I could do without having to deal with unpleasant people when I am under a lot of stress with ailments. I hope other people are not subjected to this kind of service as well. I cannot say enough about the people inside the hospital, the true and caring medical staff. Thank you.

Anyone thinking of going there just be aware there are some nasty people at the main reception. However hospital facility itself is top notch as are nurses and doctors. Personally I won't be going there again.
