I saw Dr Bill Walter as a 25yr who couldn’t: walk a block, drive without agony, exercise, socialise, work or complete daily life activites without heavy painkillers. I was a mess mentally and physically. I had seen many orthopaedic specialists for my hips for over 5years. Some tried to fix my hips surgically to no avail, whilst others told me “If you were 50 I could help you, but I can’t because you are only 25” “You cant have anything wrong with your hips at 25” “You will have to see the pain management team for the next 20years” However, Bill was completely different. During my first consultation, he was so personable which immediately put me at ease. He asked me questions about my life and my hips and genuinely was concerned for me. Bill was very gentle and professional when he examined my sore hips. Bill believed and voiced to me that together we would be able to fix my hips and give me my life back. Within months of my first consultation with Bill, Bill performed a double hip replacement. Bill saw the potential that replacements could give me and helped me see it too. I have had my replacements for 2.5years now and have not once looked back! I can swim, drive, run, cycle, sail, travel, work, socialise, live pain free and do everything and anything!! I have my life back as he promised!! Bill’s care, compassion, professional and personable manner, attention to detail, knowledge, skill, ability to listen and empathise were truly outstanding!
