My husband fell and broke his ring and pinky finger in October 2014 and this was verified by the emergency room at St. Vincent. My husbands first visit with Dr. Lorio, all he saw was the nurse, they took x-rays and she told my husband his fingers were not broken and put his fingers in a splint. My husband went back for his second doctor visit and still did not see the doctor, they took more x-rays because my husband was complaining of severe pain and was unable to move his fingers but the nurse told him that his fingers were not broken and to stay in the splint a few more weeks. When my husband went back for his check up a few weeks later, which was his 3rd visit he actually got to see Dr. Lorio and he told my husband his fingers were not broken but he was going to put my husband in a cast for 6 weeks but did not explain why he was putting my husband in a cast if his fingers were not broken. 7 weeks later my husband goes for his 4th visit with Dr. Lorio and the cast was removed and more x-rays are done. After looking at the x-rays Dr. Lorio tells my husband oh your fingers are broken and are in the healing process and gives my husband a squishy ball and tells him to squeeze the ball several times a day and to wear the splint he was given at the first visit and he will see my husband in 2 weeks. 3 weeks later (01/13/15) I went with my husband to see Dr. Lorio because I had several questions about my husbands care. They did more x-rays, then the nurse came in and told us that the break has healed in place and we explained to the nurse that my husband still can not move the 2 fingers and has lost range of motion in his wrist and the nurse said it is because the joints are locked up due not using the fingers but isn't that why my husband was using the squishy ball the doctor gave him? Then Dr. Lorio came in the room and did not make any eye contact with me or my husband and said exactly what the nurse said and then told us my husband needs physical therapy and then pretty much ran out of the room, he did not ask me or my husband if we had any questions and he did not even give us a chance to talk before he was out of the room. Then the nurse gave us an order for physical therapy and told us it will fix everything. I have been in the medical field for over 10 years and have worked with numerous doctors and I have never seen a doctor treat a patient so horribly and I have never been so discussed with a doctors office in my life. My husband started his first physical therapy session this morning (01/14/15) and the therapist asked if the doctor took x-rays of my husbands wrist and he told the therapist no, just his fingers and the therapist said that the wrist may be broken. Then the therapist told my husband that there wasn't much he could do in the office but he gave my husband a list of exercises to do at home 8 times a day and he wants to see my husband back Friday (01/16/15) to see if the exercises are helping. My mother-in-law also saw Dr. Lorio last year and had a similar experience. We will be getting a second opinion and I will make sure everyone I know does not use this doctor and I will not recommend him to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

I drove 200 miles ,one way, to see dr. Lorio, and still don't know what he looks like! He had such good things to say about him self and how compassionate he is..Well, would,nt know, but judging by his P.A...I wouldn't send my dog to her! She is an arrogant, pompous A__!! I ask if I was even going to get to see the Dr. and she smartly replied..I can do anything he can!!..Talked to me like I was an idiot! Guess cause I'm on Medicare, beneath her!! I said ..Give me my reports back and I won't bother you anymore!! BTW..Her name is Jasmin, so before you go see Dr. Lorio, ask if shes all they've got to take care of you! ASk if you are even going to see the Dr. that you made the appt. with???? I'm filing a grievance with Humana!!!
