East County Urgent Care

I had a fantastic experience at East County Urgent care. I called after 4 pm thinking I would need ti get an appoint for the next day and they said I could come on in right then. I wasn't there for more than like 25 min before the nurse called my name. Oh yeah and the initial paperwork to complete was minimal and the girl at the reception desk was very friendly and efficient. The nurse was great too, She had a great sense of humor and great attitude. Then there is Dr. Wolf, I cant say enough nice things...He is real! Very friendly, easy to talk to, explains things in words easy to understand and FUUUNNNYYYY, OMG he was really cracking me up. I left there wishing he was my own doctor. I am recommending this office to everyone in need of a doctors visit. They've really got a great staff.
I had a pretty serious problem. I was moving a large cabinet and I slipped while backing up. It split open my finger down to the bone and blood was gushing everywhere! I walked into East County Urgent Care and they rushed me right in to Dr Wolf. This guy is great! He's like a cross between your high school coach and Marcus Welby MD! He quickly assessed the cut. He assured me it was not as bad as it looked. He numbed the pain and then went to work stitching and took my mind off the injury by asking me questions about work and family and stuff. It took over an hour of stitching. He said he put more stitches in it because he wanted to minimize the scaring and he had to dodge some nerves and muscle. The staff was cool too. After I was mellowed out they came and sat there with me and asked all the questions they needed to process the paperwork. I now have these guys as my GP! My insurance covers it an everything. To tell you the truth, even if it didn't, give the level of care and the very reasonable cost, I'd go there anyway. Easy to find, great parking, no waiting, no hassles, this is the way it's supposed to be. I'm telling everybody I know!
After an 8' fall onto granite, I knew I'd need some sort of immediate medical advice and care. My choice to use the East County Urgent Care turned out to be one of the better decisions I had made that day. The staff was caring and Dr. Reder did a graet job getting me back on my feet. I was checkied in, x-rayed , diagnosed, and checked out in under an hour....all for less than 10% of a monthly " Affordable Health Act" payment. Prayerfully, you won't need their services, but if you do, I would encourage you to use this facility.
Bad experience.. They don't care how your health status changes. If you decide want to go back again they don't accept you visit again and they don't care if you run out of medicine or medicine doesn't work out. They keep telling you go see your primary doc which I can't see him till after 2 weeks min time frame.. Be carful.... :(
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jack Wolfe. He is blunt and matter-of-fact, but he knows his business. I had been to doctor after doctor for years and none of them could tell me what was wrong with me, much less how to fix it. After getting nothing but contradictory information, I had given up, until I had an attack so severe I had to go in. Dr. Wolfe looked me over, listened to me relate what the other doctors had said, asked two questions -- and then started asking me if I had symptoms I hadn't yet mentioned, and THEN asked me if my family history included items I'd never once considered significant. Then he told me what was wrong with me. Armed with that diagnosis, I was able to receive proper treatment from a specialist and haven't had a major attack for six months and counting, only one minor attack. I cannot say enough about Dr. Wolfe's competence.
