My past experiences with dentists have not been stellar: not enough gas during my wisdom tooth extraction, not being able to eat solid foods for a week after a cleaning, being left in the waiting room for 2 hours while the dentist goes home... My experience at Aspen Park Dental could not have been more different. Everything from making my appointment to walking out was easy, pleasant (as it could be), and comfortable. Making a reservation was painless, and they even emailed me my paperwork before my appointment. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early, was greated by name when I walked in, and sat in the waiting room long enough to barely pick up a magazine before going back. The decor was nice (very mountain-y) and didn't feel like an antiseptic hospital room. After not going to a dentist for six years, and seeing how nasty my teeth had become, I was beyond terrified. My hygenist was awesome. She made me feel comfortable, gladly numbed my gums, and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. They have these great LCD screens that show you all of your x-rays (done with low-radiation sensors in the chair) and photos of your mouth. They were down the day I was there, but I was able to see everything on the computer screen. My appointment went long, so an assistant polished my teeth, but she was equally as good as my hygenist. The doctor was very nice and made me feel 100% comfortable coming back to have two cavities filled. Here's the most important part: even though my hygenist told me that I would probably need painkillers for a few days, I haven't had to take a single one (and I'm a total wuss). My gums are slightly tender, but I had no problem eating pizza that night or anything since. Three days later and my gums aren't even red. The only "complaint" I have is that the x-ray sensor that they use bruised my soft pallet a little, but was still better than the stretcher the old-school x-rays used. All-in-all, an excellent experience and I am delighted to have finally found a dentist I'm comfortable going to.

I had such a ugly smile before I met Dr. Higuchi. He is professional, personable, and great at what he does. I am so happy with my results that I would reccommend him to anyone. I never thought I would have a beautiful smile. Thank you Dr. Higuchi!
