I should have listened to the reviews on Google.
DO NOT GO!!! YOU WILL LEAVE WANTING TO SCREAM AND CONTACT THE BBB. I went to this office upon the referral of my primary care physician, to obtain a prescription which her office does not prescribe. I showed up for my appointment (which I had scheduled a month and a half in advance) ten minutes early, got my paperwork signed, and sat down...and waited. And waited....Only to overhear that they had double booked my dermatologist - and the guy who walked in after me got to see her first! The receptionists loudly discussed my file while all this was going on by the way...and they were unfriendly to say the least. Finally, 40 minutes later, the nurse comes out, who was polite and kind although a little absent minded...and then I waited some more for the dermatologist. Finally... I am introduced to Dr. Wong. She continually interrupts me, is blunt and unkind, and refuses to listen to the reasons my doctor referred me to her office, and stubbornly changes the subject when I ask "why is it that my doctor referred me for this purpose, then?". Not only is she rude, but she continues to exclude information on the drug in discussion, leaving out my options until I mention them simply because they didn't meet her personal beliefs. She also continually pries into other aspects of my medical history which have nothing at all to do with the consultation. After the miserable consultation, the "doctor" refusing to listen to a word I had to say and behaving in the most condescending way, she left the room saying "I'll be back in a minute". A few seconds later, the NURSE comes back in with a prescription for the drug I already was taking and an appointment "follow-up" form for four months later! If she had read my chart, she would have found from the files transferred from my doctor's office that the medication I was already on was managed by THAT OFFICE, and wasn't to be re-perscribed by her....now I have double prescriptions...which could not only be dangerous if I didn't know what I was doing, but is a HUGE LIABILITY for her. And a follow-up to what, exactly??? You didn't do anything for me! I took the whole experience as a huge snub. In closing...you are wasting your time going to this place. Just like every other dermatologist... they only want patients who are willing to be led to beat around the bush with treatments and potions and lotions and creams, because it gives them business and drives the industry. If anyone finds a decent, kind dermatologist...please let me know. It's now going to take me three or four more appointments, gas money, time from work, and heartache to get the materials I need together to find another dermatologist who will help me, and actually listen to my doctor's wishes. Oh, yes. And should a member of this office happen to come across this review---please take a moment to reflect upon your bedside manner. I don't know when doctors lose their compassion, but they lose it. You should be ashamed of the way you treat your patients--your fellow beings on this planet. Perhaps you should have taken your character into account before embarking on such a career path. But I guess my life would be pretty miserable too if I knew I wasn't good enough for med school and had to become a dermatologist instead :)
The front desk receptionist was miserable screamed at a sales person coming to visit. I waited for half an hour past my appointment time even though I showed up early as requested. I was prescribed a generic after paying a copayment at my primary care and one with her!!! Ugggg why did I got to a specialist in the first place. Bad service and a wretched receptionist.
