Several years ago, I was referred to Dr. Fuchs at SWFOS by my PCP when I injured my back. I had great results with Dr. Fuchs so I chose to go there again because I was having serious painful issues with my foot. . I made an appointment with Foot and Ankle Specialist, Dr. Jason Nemitz and what a great choice that was. He is very kind, caring, personable, and knowledgeable in his field. As soon as he looked at my x-rays, he knew I had severe arthritis in both feet. He took a lot of time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions....and I can ask a lot of them! Dr. Nemitz then gave me an injection in the foot. I was expecting great pain like I experienced with another doctor years ago but I was shocked when he said it was over because I just felt the prick of the needle and it was over before I knew it. The reason....he uses a monitor that shows him exactly where to put the needle unlike the previous doctor who did it by just looking at my foot. I was able to see the image of my foot and see exactly where the medication went.....Incredible! I had a followup appointment and Dr. Nemitz was again very caring and took his time to discuss the situation. I was leaving on vacation shortly and since the injection can take some time to give full results, he gave me a prescription gel to help with the transition. BTW His staff is also very nice and accommodating, both in person and on the phone. Bottom Line.....I highly recommend Dr. Nemitz to anyone suffering from foot and/or ankle problems. He has an excellent "bedside manner", is so easy to talk to, and has expertise in his field. I plan to make an appointment for consultation for my right foot since I had no time before my vacation. My visits with Dr Nemitz were excellent. The staff was very professional/knowledgeable about my foot problems. I did not feel rushed. Dr Nemitz took the time to explain what the problems were & what the treatment plan would be. I would highly recommend Dr Nemitz .

Doctor Nemitz did an outstanding job putting my ankle back together. The staff was very courteous. If you need a great splint or cast ask for Corie. I'm still recovering, but getting much better slowly and surely. I'd give 5 stars, but I was unable to get the meds needed to alleviate the agonizing pain after surgery while staying in the Lee Memorial hospital as I'm opioid dependent. The doctor apologized, and made sure I was able to get the meds needed to recuperate at home. Still his work was par excellence and I would recommend him to anyone who needed an orthopedic surgeon. He's a bit arrogant and still maintains a good bedside manner. This tells me he has confidence in what he does. Thanks doctor Nemitz. I can't wait for the upcoming physical therapy, or how I like to call it physical torture. Still it's needed and I will get it done.

Everyone from the front desk , X-Ray Tech, Dr. Nemitz and his staff was very nice and explained my injury and what to expect in the upcoming weeks . I would recommend this office for your orthopedic needs without hesitation.

Incredible Doctor!! I went for a second opinion after seeing another ortho doctor thinking something about my foot/ankle, and after an MRI he showed that it was something much more serious. After surgery, I'm back to playing tennis and getting around easily. Could not thank him and his staff enough!
