Bay Dermatology & Cosmetic Srg: Swerdloff Jason MD
Reviews
Dr. Swerdloff was outstanding! He took his time with me and seemed to genuinely care. However, once my initial visit was over and my surgery was to be scheduled, this place turned into a nightmare. Repeated calls to his assistant Kristie went unanswered. When she finally did speak with me, she informed me she couldn't move forward without insurance authorization. 2 weeks later, I spoke with my insurance company only to find out that nobody from this office had contacted them.. After approaching Kristie about this, she became very defensive, asking if I was "calling her a liar".. my surgery was supposedly scheduled and then bumped for someone else because they "hadn't heard from the insurance company yet.." After weeks of Kristie's lack of professional behavior, I spoke with the office manager, and thought everything was ok, only to get a call the next day with physician phone numbers to transfer to another physician. I contacted Dr. Miller who is one of the founding partners, asking for some sort of explanation, to be told that he would ensure Dr. Swerdloff would call me back.. you can imagine my surprise when that didn't happen. The patient bill of rights in Florida indicates that patients are entitled to prompt and reasonable responses to questions and concerns from the office - this office, specifically Kristie, clearly does not believe that patients are entitled to that - we're all just another face to her. Also, the patient bill of rights states that as patients, we are entitled to be able to express our grievances. Don't expect to be able to say anything at all to her without being dismissed from the practice. If you can avoid this office, it's probably for the best. All I got was a headache in dealing with this physician. It's such a shame too, because I really got the impression that Dr. Swerdloff was very good at what he does.
