its a pharmacy like all others you will have to wait. i call ahead and order my rx online also, in all the years we've used them i think only once was my rx not ready on time. unfortunately the staff is like all others underpaid and over worked, they are as polite as they can be. if you think they are rude consider this, they are the rx equivalent to mcdonalds. they shovel out stuff all day to thankless people for minimum wage. they also have to deal with people that are in pain or discomfort all day, so the customers are rarely nice or happy.
I NEVER go to this pharmacy anymore, nor any of the Walgreens, because they are way too slow! The CVS on the corner of Belair and Columbia Rd is amazing and so is the staff at that particular store. They are very friendly and very fast! So I travel passed my area CVS to get my scripts filled because I have given several chances to our local CVS, and they are rude and there is not any excuse, no matter how busy you are, to take so long filling the prescriptions! My last time there was after oral surgery and the dentist called in the pain meds, and with it being after oral surgery, I figured I would go to the convenient one to home, and the dentist told me that with him calling it in, that it would be ready by the time I got there. He was wrong. Went to drive thru and they told me it would be at least an hour! What was given at dentist office was starting to ware off. I came home and called in about an hour, and they told me that it would be at least another hour! By the time I was finally able to get the needed medication, I was in severe pain! No excuse for that! The CVS on corner of Belair and Columbia Rd are busy too, but are friendly and able to handle busy situations and always have your scripts ready in less then 20 minutes!!
I've been a Grovetown CVS Pharmacy customer ever since CVS came to town. I never had a complaint until they built their new store and replaced their pharmacy crew. Since then they don't have many common prescription items about 30% of the time (Percocet and Ritlin, which I take on a regular basis) - and they are slow. Worst of all the lead pharmacist is consistently rude. Yesterday I finally had enough after the lead pharmacist was not only rude to me over the phone, but admitted non-contritely that she was rude and that I, the customer, deserved rudeness. You treat customers with respect - no matter what. She didn't. When I talked to Patrick Smith, the manager, he said she was a "temp" - a part time called in by District management to fill the slot. They have gone through a number of lead pharmacists there - and they consistently act like Princess Queen Bee and YOU, the customer, are expect to kiss their patoot. They (CVS Grovetown) won't get my business any more - and they seem unconcerned that they are no longer the only pharmacy in town. I now go next door to Fred's where the service is much friendlier and better - and a Walgreen's will be opening soon. For regular goods - CVS might be alright - but for pharmacy items? Avoid them like the plague unless you just like waiting around a long time to be treated rude. At least by the some-times lead pharmacists - perhaps not the one who is there, since they apparently can not keep one very long.
This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever visited. Upon arriving home, I realized that half of the pills that were to be picked up were missing. 30/60 pills just happened to have vanished at the hands of the CVS pharmacy worker, who I'm sure is QUITE happy to have a recreational supply of half of my prescription of Klonopin that I NEED. In addition to this, when I returned to the store to confront them about the situation, it was found that there was ANOTHER prescription for Klonopin written in my name that I did NOT order. All-in-all, some pill popping druggie now has 90 Klonopin pills, and is likely in charge of the medecines your children take. I would stay far far FAR away from this pharmacy, as they obviously, not only do not CARE for their customers, but will outright steal from and then BLAME them for the "missing" pills that were stolen at the hands of shifty employees.
