My experience at DentalWorks in Vernon Hills has been almost completely positive. I like their connection with CareCredit for expensive procedures. The front desk personnel is always cheerful and helpful. Dr. Kukla is great and proceeds conservatively and efficiency. Assistants and hygenists are knowledgeable.

I like the DentalWorks chain in general. It is very convenient for me and my son. (Multiple locations, organized offices, great record keeping, etc.) I did have to wait 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment once, but when I brought it to their attention they took care of me right away. Great dental staff. I do wish the lobby had WiFi though.

Long wait. Nobody cares... No wonder they ran a $1 for 1-st exam offer for a long time. If they cared, they might not need this game.

I am more than upset and angry with the "service" I received at the Vernon Hills, Illinois Dental Works location. I made an appointment to have a regular cleaning. I take excellent care of my teeth by brushing and flossing everyday. I also of course get regular cleanings, check ups, and procedures when necessary. After trying to scare me by telling me completely untrue things about my dental health and harassing me with photos, I left the office practically in tears feeling terrible about myself. I was still charged even though I did not receive any services (unless verbal abuse is a service). I then quickly made an appointment with my local dentist who I know and trust. He informed me everything I was told at Dental Works was a lie and attempt to get me to spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary procedures. Stay away from this place!

I was there about a year ago, which was also the first time and only time I was there, I had a terrible experience. At that time I just switched insurance and I needed to change to a dentist in the new insurance network. And I picked this dentist's office for its location. I went in for a regular six-month cleaning. The dentist insisted on performing some procedures that's not covered by my insurance (for which I refused and explained that I didn't have any financial resource planned for these). If that was fine, however, I really didn't get the dentist's logic for refusing to do the regular dental cleaning for me. I ended up being there for over an hour so they could take all the x-rays, but didn't get any cleaning done. Now I am trying to request my x-ray records as I found a dentist's office that I am happy with. And they will charge some amount of dollars for my x-ray records - I don't know much about regulation but I have changed dental or medical offices before. And this is the first time I was asked to pay for my own record.
