Okay, I spent most of this Sunday afternoon in the McDonald's located on the side of the store, but I must give a review somehow for the spectacle I got to see up close and personal. There was a woman absolutely losing her mind over the fact that she didn't want salted fries, yet when the worker went to make a fresh batch, this lady flipped out over the fact that she'd have to wait another five minutes when there were fries under the heat lamp already. She was screaming about how McDonald's fries are "too damn salty and unhealthy." I'm sorry, but one does not go to McDonald's for healthy food. One goes for convenience. The woman also indignantly proclaimed how she had been waiting seven whole minutes for her food. I couldn't believe my ears. I got to listen as this tale of woe was recited at least seven times, most of them to the poor manager and an innocent cook who was just trying to mediate the dispute. The employee under fire was polite and calm during the whole situation, not once raising her voice to the beastly customer who made me ashamed to be on her side of the counter. Even once this lady got her unsalted fries, she still called for the manager yet again to make it known that she will be sure to keep that young lady from getting a job anywhere in the store again. The young woman was named Breanna and I was informed she had only been working there three weeks, yet she held her temper and kept her cool as though she'd been doing it forever. I know this may not make much of a difference, but I wanted to commend Breanna on her attitude and patience with the worst personality I had ever seen in person. Bravo, Breanna.
