Devereux & Nguyen Orthodontics: Duvernay Brian M DDS
Reviews
This review is for Devereux and Duvernay: Very bad, terrifying experience. I left each appointment in tears because it felt like they don't care, some of their staff are poorly trained and their performance caused the teeth damage. For example, dr. Devereux "forgot" to put a power chain on my teeth, when he was correcting the mistakes his assistant made (the assistant applied the wrong wire, in 2 times thicker than I was ready for; I felt severe pain right away and asked the doctor to double check. If I didn't speak up, he wouldn't even look...And I'm afraid to think what else (much worse than I have experienced), might happen. It was almost 5 o'clock, so the doctor, probably, was in a hurry to leave and... forgot to apply a power chain, which resulted in 2 mm (!!!) gap between my 2 front teeth and a strong pain. Every doctor knows that teeth movement has to be done very slowly - approx. 1 mm per month, not 2 mm in 2 days and then again 2 mm to correct mistake. I have pictures of my teeth before I started the treatment and when I was their patient - everybody who considering these doctors as their orthodontists must see it!! Unfortunately, I do not see the option how to attach the pics to my review. Another appointmrnt - he refused to apply the glue on my teeth (although I begged him, because I couldn't even bite - the upper teeth were hitting directly on the lower bracket) and because my extremely deep bite I ended up with the chipped tooth. I couldn't chew at all and literally suffered for 2 days until I could go back and asked them again to correct their mistake. Funny thing - instead of apologizing they made it pretty clear that I was not welcomed there, because it was not my regular appointment.. I have more details, but won't bore you with them. The conclusion is - stay away, if you think that your teeth are precious and you are expecting to be treated with care and respect. P.S: One more thing - when I started questioning them and complaining, they offered a full refund (have this conversation recorded) and later, after treatment was stopped and refund offer accepted, they sent me a letter that they "reconsidered". And then they harassed me by calling me and leaving messages 3-4 times per week for a few months (when I was not their patient anymore).
