I just called to make an appointment as a new patient & spoke w/ Bonnie. The 1st question she asked was who is your insurance company. I told her I was a cash paying customer. She tells me please hold & I get dumped into a voice mail. Assuming this was a mistake I call back. Bonnie answers again. I say I was holding to make an appointment & was put into a voice mail, again she asks what insurance do I have. Again I say I will be paying cash. Again she tells me to hold & dumps me in a voice mail. I call back a 3rd time & someone else answers the phone ( a very pleasent voice) I tell her what had just happened & she explains that if you don't have insurance you have to be "screened by Dorthy" she appoligized for Bonnies lack of information. Had Bonnie just said you need to speak to Dorthy I would've just left a message. What this company is telling me is they prefer not to do business with cash paying customers. I will never call this practice again. In fact I called Valley Dental in Hagerstown & they were very pleasent & even offer a 10% discount to cash paying customers. They seem to care more for ther patients over who my insurance provider is.
