I've lived all over the country and seen many dentists. I've generally had good experiences with dentists. But Dr. Pier and his exemplary practice and staff rise way above the masses! They're worth way more than a 5-Star Rating. I've referred many of my friends and clients to Dr. Pier, without hesitation. As the other reviewers said, attention to detail, courteousness and compassion expressed by Dr. Pier and his staff are outstanding. In addition, I have NEVER felt pain at Mt. Pleasant. Although I don't have "dentist phobia," I have had some fairly unpleasant dental experiences in my 50 years on the planet. For instance, my childhood dentist drilled my too-much-bubble-gum-cavity-riddled teeth without Novocaine! So, I have never looked forward to even routine cleanings. That is, I never have until I began going to Mount Pleasant. Dr. Pier and all of the staff are warm, kind, compassionate, patient and beyond gentle. The office is charming and welcoming. Now when I have a note on my calendar that an appointment is looming, I don't have that old feeling of dread. In fact, I feel a pleasant, happy anticipation to have shiny, clean teeth! This is absolutely the BEST dentist I've ever been to in my whole life! Everyone there is caring, considerate and truly puts the patient's needs first. I've been referring people there for 2 years now and I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pier and his amazing staff!! If you go to him once, you will never want to see another dentist again...he is the EPITOME of what a great dentist is and all other dentists should strive to be as giving, gentle, humble and kind as he is.
