Metro Dentalcare
Reviews
My family has been with metro for several years due to the insurance options we have. At 1st we thought them being a "chain" was convenient, because they are everywhere. Sadly however, our experiences have dramatically degraded over time. My personal experiences have been pretty rough since we moved to Albertville and I can honestly say I will not be back. From pushy "sales" pitches for over priced toothpaste and guilt trips, to rough handling by the hygienists and Dentists themselves. My work has been shotty, scheduling has been messed up repeatedly, to records mismanagement. They refuse to work with anyone's schedule, conflict be damned. These are all signs of a commercialized practice where you are a number, and dollar signs, but not a patient. They push you in and out as fast as possible, which leads to poor work which requires repeat visits to get it right, and poor prep sometimes including working before your numb and when you ask for more they either make it rough or don't give you more . I've made complaints directly to the dentist, and they promise to world but it obviously doesn't do any good as they revert back to the same poor service and work. My kids have complained that they are too rough, my wife has had similar experiences as well. I know a couple of families who have discontinued going there, so its obviously not isolated. The last straw was this morning when a crown they installed several months ago fell out, I called to see how soon I could get in and they offered me something next week. How is someone supposed to eat, drink etc for over a week with a bare nub for a tooth? Do they not care? The receptionist was rude, and basically didn't care. Only option was to leave work in the middle of the day commute back to where they are (which happens to be about 30 miles from where I work) and wait for an opening, then wait in excess of who knows how long to get it cleaned up and re-installed, then return to work if I am not stuck there all day waiting to get in. Clearly contacting the dentist directly doesn't work, maybe more bad press and a letter to the corporate offices will turn things around, sadly I won't know if they change as i've had enough. Dentists are already "feared" and now I can see why, its not a unwarranted stigma, this branch specifically goes a long way to tarnish the profession, I've been to several dentists in my life, some good, a couple no so much, but these guys have ruined it for me.
Was told I would have to drive to there Ritchfield location. From Albertville to Ritchfield....Really?
