Family Vision Clinic

I called the eye doctor is on vacation until next week. Well guess what? They don't have a back-up doctor so they are pointless for any emergency care that is mentioned on their website. They are also rude on the phone when talking to them.
We love Family Vision Clinic in Farmington! I'm new to the eye clinic world, never have needing glasses until recently. I was nervous getting my 1st eye exam. Pam was excellent, she made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. She was also willing to see my son when the office was closed on the 4th of July, due to an eye emergency. She has a huge heart. My eyes are important and I wouldn't trust them to anyone else!
Excellent service, the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! Saturday hours are convenient, for those unable to make an appointment during normal working hours. I will definitely be going back there for my next pair, since I saved almost $400 over the other quote I received for the same glasses.
Dr. Rupnow is wonderful, and I have been going to see her for the past few years. I have worn glasses and/or contacts for almost 40 years, so I have seen my fair share of eye doctors. She is very professional and courteous at all times, and absolutely fabulous with my children (!!!). I've been extremely happy with the exams that my family has received and also with the glasses and sunglasses that we have purchased there.
My initial experience was incredible - great staff, very personable, very helpful. I got great glasses and was very pleased. They even were incredibly gracious when I received contacts that were expired. They let me return them and get a new pair, etc. HOWEVER... Recently I tried to order contact lenses from another provider, but FVC was unhelpful and actually incredibly rude to me when trying to figure out what my prescription was. The wrong prescription was given to the other provider twice. They seemed put off by the fact that I did not order from them. They told me they "couldn't help me" and that I would have to "figure this out myself". I was also offended when the person I was dealing with over the phone made a remark about people who "just do data entry" and they don't know how to read prescriptions because they are not skilled in this field. It's unfortunate that my experience turned out this way. I really did have a great experience at the beginning, I just was treated like a piece of crap when dealing with the staff while ordering new contacts.
