Walmart Supercenter

Once again I was not let down when in this Walmart store. I came in to just pick up some sinus medication and made the huge mistake of deciding to pick up some grocery items that I had planned on getting at Harris Teeter (big mistake). After shopping and heading to checkout, surprise, surprise there were only 2 checkouts open. Customers all around me were loudly complaining about the lack of checkout lanes but I just grabbed a magazine and decided to wait patiently. After about a 15 minute wait, several people got out of my lane in search of other lanes. About 5 minutes later, I noticed the lady who was second in line suddenly putting all of her things back in her buggy with a look of disgust. I asked what was going on and she stated that the checkout lane was being closed. No reason given or anyone offering to help us by opening another lane. We were just going to have to get in the back of the one other lane. In disgust, I grabbed the medicine I had already paid for and left my buggy right where it was. I remember meeting Sam Walton many years ago at a store in Arkansas. He was interested in how satisfied we were with their stores and what he could do to improve customer satisfaction. As we walked out, my husband had to tell me who he was, so unassuming was he that I didn't even realize he was an important man. Mr. Walton would be so embarrassed at this level of incompetence and what Walmart has become. His children have destroyed everything that their father stood for and it is probably a good thing that he is no longer on earth to see what has become of Walmart.
This has to be one of the worst stores when it comes to customer service. Looking for help will only get you anywhere with a very select few employees. Others will blatantly tell you they don't know. Recently had an issue where a purchased Cracker Barrel gift card did not activate properly yet I charged for it. Now its a fight to get my money back. Trying to call took 17 minutes of hold time and 3 calls no lie. They just leave you on hold and if I wouldn't have asked for them to page them on the walkie talkie I would have never gotten any help at all. Each visit is just worse and worse they have higher prices than other WalMart locations in the area. They do not compete or match prices from other Walmart venues.
Nothing kept in stock - Employees talking very freely about each other and their business- Everyone there obviously hates their job (which I cant blame them for).
Very poor customer service. I had purchased a table and set of chairs. After carrying them into my home and inspecting them I found that the surface of the table was damaged. So I carried them back inside of Walmart to exchange them. The lady at the customer service counter could not have cared less about my problem. I am standing right in front of the register and she didn't say "hold on a minute" or "just a sec" she completely ignored my existence until she had finished with whatever it was she was slowly doing. Finally and begrudgingly she started the process of returning my table and chair set. Not one pleasant word came from this woman, she almost made me as miserable as she seemed to be. Also I have never seen so many "thugs" working in one location, every other employee you see here has the crotch of their pants down around their knees. What happened to professionalism? I saw one guy literally throwing bananas from the box onto the shelf while I'm there wondering why all these bananas look so bad. I only come to this Walmart to avoid the crowds on Wendover Ave. I am beginning to reconsider.
Front end service managers have a rotten attitude concerning any issues. Have experienced this several times. I once saw that they did not ring up a $45 item at the register. Being honest, I brought the receipt back so I could pay the difference..I was treated as if I had done something wrong! I had to wait in a long line again to get this straightened out!
