Ditto the other two reviews. The receptionist had her back to me and was busy working on her computer when I came to check-in. She hardly acknowledged me and simply bluntly asked what I needed. very RUDE! Other staff were slightly better, but I will never go back. I would rather drive to Chapel Hill or Durham than put up with being treated rudely again!

Dr. Donnelly is wonderful, her office staff however are are rudest people I have ever met. From now on my family and I will be going to the Burlington office. The front desk person was rude when we arrived, when the doctor asked her to schedule and appointment, and when we left. Wen the doctor walked away, she said I can schedule the appointment for you, if I have to, but I really don't have time. When other patients came in,she just turned her back to them and wouldn't even acknowlege that they were standing there. When she finally talked to them, she talked to them, as she did us, like we were such a burden. Very rude. The person that fitted my sone for glasses was also rude, and fter we finally picked out a pair, she said they would be ready in a week. After 3 calls inquiring about his glasses, and month later, I get a call saying his glasses were in and we could come on Friday to pick the up. I get off work early, I get there, and she's making calls thru a double sided mirror, and there's a room full of people waiting, and we can all see and hear her on the phone, but she's just ignoring everyone. I had to go back to work so I left. The next week I go back, the girl at the front desk turns her back to myself and 2 other people at the window, So I go to the lady that orders the glasses, and again she's on the phone ignoring everyone in the waiting area. Finally she comes out and asked who was there first and tells me it will be about an hour before she can hand me my son's glasses. I still do not have his glasses. I don't know how they keep patients coming back. If I ever get these glasses, I will never step foot in that office again, which is sad, because I really liked Dr. Donnely.

If possible go to the office located in Burlington. My friend just went here on Wednesday and let's start with them bullying her over her decision not to allow them to access her pharmaceutical history. She told the lady at check-in no which should have been the end of it. But no, when the nurse called her back to the room she pointed to the signature line on said form and told her to sign it. Again she told them no, which again should have been the end of it. The nurse, who smelled like she rolled in a 3 day old ashtray countered by saying her eye condition, which turned out to be a sty, could be linked to her medication history. Again, my friend said no. My friend, bless her heart, was so nice to these people who clearly had an aversion to being told no. The nurse's response was to give an indignant snort. I guess smelling like a cigarette in an eye doctor's office is no big deal but exercising your right to maintain your privacy is a some perverse act against mankind. So my friend asked nurse cigarette butt if she smoked, which seemed fair, since she was trying to strong-arm my friend into disclosing her personal business and the nurse responding by saying she used to. Judging my how she smelled "used to" meant 3 mins before I came to get you out of the reception area of the office. The doctor, further compounded the ignorance in the office by saying that she wasn't supposed to treat my friend if she declined to sign the form. Really? The last time I checked, I lived in America. What the hell? In the end the doctor treated her but had an issue prescribing a medication to address some side effects of the prescription she was giving her. She wasn't comfortable with that but my friend should be comfortable with paying another specialist co-pay in 2 days to see another doctor in the Burlington office. Why you ask, per the doctor at the Mebane office, to confirm her diagnosis. What else is there to say after that? So much for having faith in her professional opinion. Thank God we are going to the Burlington office. If you can wait, go the the Burlington office of Alamance Eye or try Carolina Ophthalmology in Chapel Hill or go to the ER but whatever you do, don't go here. There is some serious room for improvement.
