Having any dental issue is a big deal. The thought of losing a tooth had me thinking about shunning myself from the world. When I found out I needed a dental implant on one of my front teeth (#11) at 24 years old, I was petrified, especially when I found out the cost $$$ and my insurance barely covered it. I met with a couple of Omaha Periodontists (and some dentists claiming to be) they all sort of intimidated me. Claiming this tooth would fall out right away and being vague about procedures. Than I met with The Dentists of Omaha - Dr. Jeff Garvey, he took a look, was friendly but said he didn't specialize in front of mouth implants and he recommended Dr. Patrick Kelsey (Kelsey Periodontal Group). Upon meeting with Dr. Kelsey, I knew he was my periodontist. He was friendly, wasn't imposing/'fear-mongering', and he told me the exact details of the process and procedure. He gave me a through estimate of costs and told me the payment process. The reception staff was welcoming and easy to work with and the office was modern and clean. The process was a little under a year from extraction of tooth and to implant. I received a personal call a couple hours after each surgery to see if everything was okay from Dr. Kelsey. All in all, I would recommend Kelsey Periodontal Group to everyone needing dental implants.

I've never experienced this level of solid communication from a medical professional. Let's face it, going to a Periodontist for any reason is no fun. However, I can say with confidence that Dr. Kelsey makes the experience as comfortable as it can be. He explains the procedure before you start, is completely patient with any questions, and explains exactly what's going on as he works. His assistants are upbeat, positive and friendly as well. Highly recommended.
