I LOVE this doctor. I have been suffering for years with a neck problem and have been to other chiropractors. Some helped in the beginning but it always ended up with them not being able to help me anymore. After 3 visits with him I feel like a new person. He takes the time to talk to you and he is incredible!!!!
I switched to Dr. Santiago from another doctor about 3 years ago. He takes his time with you and doesn't make you feel like "just another patient." I'm VERY happy with him and staff.
I went to see Dr. Santiago 3 times, and never actually got to speak to a doctor. They applied some "techniques" that I am sure have worked on some people, but didn't in my case. Ultimately, I left feeling very unsatisfied and uncomfortable with the way his practice deals with its patients. Afterwards, I was left with a very high bill. My insurance covered some of it, however, Dr. Santiago demanded more. Here is a list of itemized "services" (and their corresponding prices) rendered by Dr. Santiago: ** New Patient/Comprehensive "Exam": $150 CMT Spinal Three to Four Regions: $50 CMT Extraspinal: $35 Electric Stimulation (Unattended): $33 Ultrasound: $33 Hot Pack/Cold Pack: $30 Notes: Aside from the "exam", the above price list/services were per visit! The "comprehensive" exam consisted of me waiting in a room for Dr. Santiago. Once he arrived, I was told that he wanted me to "feel better before we discuss" my condition. I received no "ultrasound". I also received no xray which is fairly standard, and recommended in most cases because an adjustment to a patient with certain types of fractures can be extremely dangerous. Normally a doctor would want to make sure their patient is healthy enough to receive a particular treatment. Not so in the case of Dr. Santiago. Perhaps in my case he concluded from his "comprehensive exam" that no x-ray was necessary (sarcasm intentional). As for the "hot/cold pack", this literally consists of a warm compress placed on the back for 5 minutes. I wish I could start a business where I earned $30 for placing a warm compress on someone's back for 5 minutes 10-20 times a day. Unfortunately Dr. Santiago already had this idea and has cornered the market in Lake Hiawatha. As you can tell, I am quite bitter with my experience. I am still in considerable pain. I placed a certain degree of trust in this doctor/practice and was ultimately swindled out of a lot of money.
