Dr. Uribe - Where do I begin! I will try to make this as short as possible. I made an appointment to see Dr. Uribe about some swelling and pain that was occurring on the top of my foot. I went to his Prospect Park West office. The office itself was very clean, the woman in the front room was really delightful and when I met Dr. Uribe for the first time he seemed great as well. He looked at my foot, determined something was wrong, looked at the x-rays that I had brought with me and said SOMETHING was there, but he couldn't really see so he said I needed to get an MRI. He also mentioned that I could have a possible TUMOR growing in my foot, and sent me on my way. Needless to say I am flipping out. Turns out he never actually scheduled the MRI, it took me close to 2 weeks to find someone in his many offices who could help me. Every single person that I spoke with either at the Prospect Park West office or even better, his Downstate Hospital office, was beyond incompetent and BEYOND rude. I got the run around so many times I was on the verge of literally losing my mind, because all I could think about was that word TUMOR, yet no one was able or willing to schedule the MRI. This story goes on and on and on but my main point is this - Dr. Uribe and his staff are truly horrible people. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else to treat you. The last time that I saw him, he gave me a cane and sent me on my way. No diagnosis of WHAT was happening with my foot. Just a cane. And some really strong Advil. I was told I would get a call from his assistant Margaret, to let me know the final results of the MRI and wouldn't you know it, I never actually did! It took me calling HER three times and leaving a few colorful messages on the voicemail to get a call back. UNREAL.I still have the pain to this day, and its been months since I have seen him. So please do yourself a favor, do NOT make an appointment with Dr. Jaime Uribe.
