Buffalo Medical Group
Reviews
My mother was a patient of Dr. Wen. She had three appointments with her and each time. the doctor never faced her when speaking (my mother is very hard of hearing and has to read lips). The doctor was also argumentative about her care, wanting to prescribe more meds than she really needed. Clearly, Dr. Wen is not a choice for geriatric patients. I found another medical group and switched my mother's care to them and have been satisfied since. I cancelled the last appointment she had with Dr. Wen when we switched and yet she was billed for a no call no show. I called them to dispute it and they continued to bill her for months until I threatened to report them to Medicare for fraudulent billing practices. The billings then stopped. Amazing. My husband was a patient of Dr. Halsdorfer. He had an appointment that he had to cancel due to an emergency with his mother. The office then billed him for this missed appointment which he called and disputed. They told him if he rescheduled, the doctor would waive the missed appointment fee. He called back a couple of weeks later when the issue with his mom settled down and was told that he could not reschedule because the doctor had "red flagged" his account due to not paying that fee. To this day (three months later), they continue to bill him for the $50 and the last bill I sent back with a note on it saying that we are not paying it given that he was not allowed to reschedule. Amazing. I was a patient of Dr. Symons. On my first new patient visit, she indicated that I would need to see three separate specialists for minor chronic medical issues that have been addressed in the past by other primary care physicians (some of these issues date back as far as 20 years). Ridiculous. I decided she wasn't the doctor for me given this and attempted to transfer to another doctor in Buffalo Medical Group. Apparently, she was somehow notified of this and sent me a letter terminating our relationship due to "friction in the doctor - patient relationship". I never said one word to her about what a crappy doctor I thought she was to send patients out to specialists for every minor issue so I'm not sure what friction she experienced. I thought she was an idiot and I simply tried to switch doctors but apparently that was friction to her. If I had told her to her face that I thought she was an idiot, I could understand her feeling friction. Amazing. None of these amazings are meant in a positive manner. Three separate doctors with BMG by three separate patients in my family and all horrible experiences. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go to BMG for your healthcare. If I could give this rating zero stars, I would but unfortunately one is the minimum allowed.
Very poor experiences. The doctors are unprofessional and uninformed. The staff are extraordinarily rude--among the worst I've ever encountered. Medically they're a solid decade or more behind in information and practices. Cannot warn readers away strongly enough!
