Aspen Dental

Save yourself a whole lot of time, money, and stress by avoiding this place. The staff doesn't seem to care, they add things like expensive toothbrushes to your bill without asking, they make you wait forever, will do super simple exams the tell you to schedule another appointment for the actual treatment (even if it is a simple filling and the "exam" took 10 seconds), they bill almost twice the amount that other dental practices do. The list goes on and on. Don't even get me started on their "special cleanings". Read the other reviews. My husband and I have had no good experiences with this place. I found another dentist closer to me, costs less, wait is shorter, people are nicer and way easier to deal with, etc. Stay away from Aspen Dental. It's a large conglomerate that does not care. It's worth your while to find a local practice that's not franchised like this one.
Aspen did good work for me. They took care of my concerns and put in my crown while helping to make me comfortable. Nice office personnel, clean location, easy to work with.
I made an appointment wanting to get a basic teeth cleaning and went in today for the required x-ray/exam/consultation they require before they'll even schedule a cleaning. I have a few fillings, but have never had any major dental work or problems. The hygienist examined me and then, in a clearly well-rehearsed speech, informed me that I have "deep pockets"--oh, the irony--and that I would require deep cleaning every 3-4 months rather than a standard cleaning every six months. The cleanings would have to be broken into two appointments rather than one. Her rehearsed scare tactic pitch at the end--"You're so young, you don't want your teeth to fall out, do you?" --really annoyed me. The dentist himself was kind and did a good job reviewing my x-rays with me but then I was sent to the office manager to discuss "treatment and payment plans." The printout from the office manager stated that the accepted treatment plan estimate is $3,074. Insurance participating discounts of $687 and insurance benefit of $280, leaving the ESTIMATED PATIENT PORTION OF $2,107. When I said no thank you, I just want my teeth cleaned the normal way, the manager informed me that that was not possible since the hygienist and dentist made the deep cleaning recommendation. The x-rays, exam, and consultation took more than an hour and a half and at the end of it, my teeth weren't cleaned and I have to find a new dentist. Please save your time and money and look elsewhere for dental care.
This place is shady as all get out. They insist on extra services that insurance won't cover and if you ask for just what insurance covers, they refuse. I've had cleanings, exams and xrays all done free from my insurance (within my yearly limit) but no one in our family can get out of the office without having some sort of charge, some of which are expensive. Never going back!
My family and I have just switched to aspen and our experience was great. Everyone was really nice and very helpful. The office manager was great, she worked with us to make sure we got our maximum benefit from our insurance. Rachel ,the hygienist, was really good also.
