As a dental health provider and educator (dental hygiene and expanded duties auxiliary), you would think I would have perfect teeth, right? Wrong! As a child my family just couldn’t afford orthodontics, so I went through the procedure as an adult. As a result my bite has been “off” for over fifteen years. Not only has this caused problems with my teeth, but TMJ and headache issues as well. Several attempts at correcting the problem were made at other offices, to no avail. The overall result is something less attractive than I would hope for, since my life has been dedicated to dental health and education! Following the most thorough exam and cleaning I have ever had (thank you Sharon Eaton, RDH, EFDA), Dr. Garvey devoted a considerable amount of time to identifying issues with my bite, and is working to not only correct my occlusion problem, but to help give me the beautiful smile I have wanted all my life. I’m so thankful that I found Dr. Garvey and his staff, and I’m looking forward to seeing the end result!
