Please go to another, smaller pedodontist that is able to be more flexible, personable, and communicative. The nursing staff here is kind, but that doesn't make up for the administrative and management difficulties. This practice is one of many belonging to CDHA and it functions as a large organization. It's impossible to call and reach someone within the local office; when you call you are directed to a central office with loooong phone waits and communication difficulties when you need to talk to someone who actually has to do with your treatment. Getting xrays or records transferred takes up to 30 days, unless you want to jump through maddening hoops. The York office is only open once a week, making appointments so hard to get and further increasing the communication difficulties! In addition, my son was so miserable during his appointment that they broke off treatment. I wasn't allowed to be near him and I wasn't informed of the situation until after the appointment was broken off. Since our appointment at CDHA York I've been in touch with three other pedodontists, all of whom took time to try to help me, were able to schedule me an appointment within a week, and made me feel like a competent human being. Unfortunately they are not in network, but we will be going to one of them anyway.
