Greer Vision Center
Reviews
This was the worst eye doctor experience I've ever had. I brought my son here for an eye exam but when I purchased glasses with the prescription he was given, my son couldn't see anything. I made another appointment with Greer Vision Center for a recheck and when the doctor walked in, he said, "What's the problem?" very condescendingly. I explained that I believed that the script he gave my son was incorrect and asked him to check his eyes again. He refused, told me that it would take a while for his eyes to adjust to the glasses, and then checked the glasses to make sure they were made correctly (they were). He made me feel like a total idiot with his words and attitude. I had my son's eyes checked by another doctor two weeks later and the script was completely different. The doc at Greer Vision said my son's eyes were +1.25 when they were, in fact, -1.75! WAY off. If the doctor at Greer Vision had swallowed his pride and rechecked my son's eyes, he may have realized his mistake. I called the office to complain and they did refund my insurance co-pay to me. Unfortunately, I was out the money for a pair of glasses I couldn't use and had to pay in full for the corrected exam. I will never go back to Greer Vision.
This was my first visit to this doctor's office. The office staff were friendly, however, the doctor did not even introduce himself to me when he came in to give me an eye exam. If I hadn't looked on their website, I wouldn't have even known his name. I waited for more than thirty minutes for an appointment that took about ten or fifteen minutes. I need to go back for a follow-up, but be rest-assured I will not be returning to this office again after that. I don't care how busy you are, you should greet your patients and make them feel welcome (especially if it's their first time).
