Parkridge East Hospital

I would not go to this hospital even if I was about to die. This is the most atrocious deceiving hospital with the rudest staff that I have ever encountered. This is by far the worst hospital that you can go to. I can't say enough of how utterly incompetent the doctors are there in the ER. I came in with an stomach ulcer and GI bleed and they wrote me off and just said I had a stomach flu. When I tried to convey to them that I really don't think it's just that, they dismissed me as if it was no big deal. I was in so much pain, the worst I've ever been in and they just didn't care. I waited FOUR hours until a doctor even saw me. FOUR hours in the ER?! Are you kidding me? What kind of service is that? Then get charged about $2000 for the entire so call treatment. If this is not robbery I don't know what is. Unfortunately this is the closest hospital to my home so when my girlfriend got sick, we went there again only because it was the closest to us. Bad choice, we should have just drove 10 more mins and gone to Memorial Hospital or even Erlanger but we made that mistake again to go again. I've been there twice to the ER and both times and had the worst experience both as a patient and seeing how they treated my girlfriend. The nurses there are the horrendous and treat you like dirt. They are judgmental beyond belief and rude and heartless, it makes you wonder why they are even in the profession of taking care of people. The nurses there made my girlfriend cry because they scared her so much. Overall this is one of the worst hospitals you could go to, if you want to be treated like a human being with respect and dignity, then this is not the hospital to go to.
This hospital is one of those places where you only go because it's conveniently close and the wait time to get into the ER is relatively short. I've been with several family members over the years to this hospital and we have had very few good experiences. Once my grandmother was told her appendix had ruptured and that's why she had been so sick, well it turn out that there was nothing wrong with her appendix, she had had a major heart attack. Another time I took my grandfather because he dropped a railroad tie on his foot, they put him in a cast and gave him crutches saying his foot was broken (no more specific than that) and he was told to see an orthopedic doctor within a week. Well we went and she looked at the scans and said that his foot wasn't broken, in fact it was only bruised badly and said whoever read the scans obviously didn't know how to look at them and interoperate them correctly. The doctors seem to think you are always looking for pain meds, even when nothing about pain has been mentioned. They are rude, and so are the nurses. We were there recently and there were only a couple of other patients in the ER, and we sat for almost 3 hours in a room before we were seen by a doctor, and she was nothing but a smart ass who act like it was hurting her to be there. I hate this hospital but it's only about a minute or two from my house so it's just the easiest to get to. I do hear that have a good maternity area, both of my cousins were born there.
We had super great care when our newborn had trouble breathing (2010). We specifically went across town to go there because our sister-in-law had received such good care previously. Thanks for your great work!
I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. I was there last nite and there were no Doctors on staff and the nurses and physicians assistants didn't know there butt from a hole in the ground. They were very rude and i didn't know anymore when i left then when i got there. I don't know how much any of the reviews are taken into consideration but I hope and pray that someone that can do something about this will see this and care more than there physicians do.
