I work in a hospital and never have I felt as disappointed in a facility like I did at this place. You all have plenty of staff in the triage area as well as in the registration area to delegate priority patients a lot smoother than you all did last night. We (my son and I) waited for 4 hours and still we were not seen at all. At no point in time was our Insurance information obtained; which my son had 3 sets of x-rays done. This is a loss in money for your hospital because you can not charge a patient for a hospital visit if an attending or PA never actually saw the patient. You can attempt to charge me for the x-rays but I am going to dispute quite a bit of the charges if you all try to attach any other codes to that visit. In addition, what you all call "Fast Track" is nothing to say the least a JOKE. You all saw 1 patient maybe two every hour!!!! That is not fast track!!!! There was another patient there who obviously had a broken hand who also was there for 4 hours and ended up leaving along with us because he couldn't take the pain any longer. So, he most likely went home to self medicate himself all because of the lack of hospitality and general concern for his well being that your staff showed. At not point in time did anyone announce to the overwhelming amount of people in the waiting area what the wait time was going to be (so that they can decide to possibly go elsewhere) or to even inform us that several emergencies have occured and you all are back logged. In addition, we were sitting there and the lights went out....which tells me that your hospital is in need of ALOT of assitance. If you all can not find a way to delegate additional responsibilities to your staff; you all will not make it in this industry. My son could have had a minor sprain or a hairline fracture which your triage nurse could have wrapped him up and sent him on his way. The man with the broken hand; your triage team could have sent him to the casting area. These are things that your staff could have handled on their own with the oral consent of the physician or PA. These are things that your triage department should be able to handle that is what they are trained to handle; to be able to do assess the situation of each patient and make accurate decisions. That is NOT what they are doing!!!! I am hoping that you all are going to read this and see that these are valuable concerns that will cost your hospital millions of dollars if it is not corrected. Do you realize how many people walked out of your hospital yesterday after receiving x-rays, blood work, etc and you all never even gathered their insurance information!!!! Maybe those x-rays and blood work is just $50 - $200 a visit but multiply that times 10 or so patients.

This hospital is the WORST!! Staff is TERRIBLE and it seems like almost all the nurses are in a bad mood. If looks could kill we'd all be dead. Random people are more help than this hospital :(

Three strikes and you're out. The first visit to this hospital with my mother in law, her foot swollen and throbbing. Diagnosed her with foot fungus. Followed up with her PCP, come to find out no foot fungus, she had a very high salt intake. Second visit, with my 2 year old who did a face plant into a stone fire place. He had a huge knot on his head which was still bleeding and they didn't so much as offer to clean it, give him a band aid not even a sticker for being so good while the doctor looked at him. Third visit, this morning with my mom. She hurt her ankle pretty bad. I pulled into the emergency entrance, ran in to see if there was a wheel chair I could use to bring her in, and asked the two nurses at the desk if someone could help me get her in the chair to bring her in.The ER was completely empty with the exception of the two nurses at the desk and one young girl at registration. They both looked at each other shaking their heads like neither of them could help. One nurse finally said, we are both busy and she looked down the hall to see if she could find anyone else. I just said forget it and walked back out to get my mom myself. The entire visit, all but one nurse and the ex-ray attendant were rude and unhelpful. When the one male nurse came to put a splint on my moms ankle, I jokingly warned him she said she was going to kick someone if they try to mess with her ankle, but you're probably used to that, hu. He said no, and handed my mom the splint to put on herself. Very irritated, I asked him what the ex-rays showed, he said he didn't know. i asked if it was broken, he said i don't think so. i asked if there was someone else i could talk to he said the doctor is down the hall if you'd like to speak to her. I replied "uh, yeah, that would be helpful since you seem to have no answers." He led us to check out and said he would get the doctor. Really, I haven't even got a clear diagnoses, or how to handle or care for the injury and you are sending me to check out?? Worst hospital ever. Do not go to this place.
