Stanleytown Health & Rehabilitation Center

I've been to all of the local rehab centers and when I had my hip fracture and needed rehab, I knew that I wanted the best. When I arrived I was not aware that there was a new gym addition. The rehab team was very thorough and patient with me. Jeanette Frazier, one of my therapists, was a huge help to me and answered many of my questions. I liked all of the new equipment in the gym and the team was able to be creative in how they used it to help meet my needs. I also like how they integrated the Wii into my rehab. I feel like there is a good team spirit in the building and communication is strong. The building was also very clean.
If a family member or loved one becomes ill or is unable to care for him or herself, you want the best care possible, and that is what we found at Stanleytown Health and Rehabilitation Center. The administration is very professional, the nursing staff is polite, caring, knowledgeable, and has had our best interests at heart, and all other employees have always been friendly and cordial. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of quality healthcare!
Where do I begin?Like everything,it has good points and it has its bad points. My Grandma went there to recover from knee replacement surgery and had to be sent to the E.R. twice for dehydration. She was unable to hold a cup of water alone and noone took the time to make sure she stayed hydrated.Numerous times,a family member would stop by and there would be an uneaten tray of food being collected and she was just laying there unable to feed herself. She also developed c-diff and a bladder infection. After the last E.R. visit for dehydration, her kidneys failed and she is currently in Roanoke on life support.I feel as though my Grandma fell into the category of "just another patient on the daily routine".She needed special attention and did not recieve it.
