Blue Ridge Oral

My son was very nervous having a baby tooth taken out. But after meeting Dr. Brandt he was very relaxed. He enjoyed the experience, and as his mother everything flowed from the beginning to the end. I would recommend this practice to everyone I know.
I was recently referred to this office by my dentist. My appointment was at 3:15 and I was on time. I was given the normal stack of paperwork to complete, much of it repetitious. While completing the paperwork, a clinical assistant came out and approached the elderly wife of a patient they had in back, asking for payment. The elderly lady refused, even though the assistant kept asking. The office has you sign paperwork saying you will pay for all procedures up front (100%) if you aren't on one of their 4-5 approved plans. I finally was seen at 4:05 by Dr. Brandt (super nice) for a visit that lasted maybe 5 minutes. He suggested a minor procedure and said I could call back for instructions since I had a 4:30 appointment. The same clinical assistant as above was having no part of that. She snapped my head off when I was walking out the exam room ("I will BE IN THERE in a minute") followed by a nice eye roll. She also said I would have to come back for my care plan, although Dr. Brandt said otherwise. It's a shame such a nice doctor with a good reputation is surrounded by an office staff that is as rude and incompetent as this one. When I called and spoke with the manager, she refused to give me this assistant's name and told me she was surprised there was a complaint. When I told her their FB page had complaints, the FB page was removed. I would not recommend this office.
Coukd not provide any sort of pre-op information including coverage or cost, even in a general way. After administering aneasthetic the office person demanded fu payment up front stating that insurance would have to reimburse after paperwork was submitted. They proceded to stop the procedure and required that we come back when we were able to provide full payment.
I visited Blue Ridge oral surgery because I had a usual growth in my mouth and I was concerned it could be cancer. On top of being a cancer concern, I also found myself often biting this growth on my cheek inadvertently during meals which was very painful. The team at Blue Ridge Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was able to remove and diagnose the growth as noncancerous. The removal was painlessly and the growth has not returned. I have a health normal mouth today thanks to Dr. Brandt and his team.
