After a severe injury in jujitsu in 2006 (displaced SI joint, ruptured L5S1 disc) I was in pain for years. I was on morphine, you name it, and weighed about 200 pounds. I had been to the spine clinic, UW Physical Therapy and sports medicine, and was resigned to a life of pain and inactivity. Nothing helped. Finally one day in 2011 I just got sick of it and started running, a mile at a time. I was in a lot of pain. I won a free consult to Core in a local business raffle and cashed it in. Fast forward to now... I'm 165 and doing half marathons. Blase Strobl is the first therapist I met who first asked ME what was hurting and customized my treatments. He seems genuinely concerned that I feel better and move better. I still attend Core Physical Therapy regularly to stay pain free and running. I'm 39 and in better shape then when i was 30!
I am 50, female and exercise daily - running, MMA and yoga. I contacted Core PT because I was having some pain issues related to my exercise. I chose to get a good set of marching orders in a single appointment rather than having to schedule several appointments knowing that it would be a lot to cover but hopeful because I'd heard really good things about Core. Blase was very thorough in looking for root causes and suggested several steps I could take. I haven't been able to incorporate all of his suggestions as yet but I have already worked some of them into my routines and am experiencing noticeably less pain. I found Blase to be both knowledgeable and helpful with a desire to maximize the value of my visit. I would definitely recommend Core PT.
This lady must not be interested/educated in 1)accommodating and being kind to inquiring prospective clients and 2) building or retaining a nice client base thru word of mouth/referrals. I had originally called after an injury, we ended up playing a bit of phone tag. In the meantime, I had n extensive conversation w/ my insurance provider on physical therapy benefit coverage. I was very pleased to report to janelle, owner, my generous coverage findings. The 1st official conversation I had w/ this so-called professional was atrocious. She first greatly offended me by saying she doesn&#39;t think she&#39;d care to treat me bc she gets the impression I wouldn&#39;t be committed (what? How does she know, and who tells a stranger that??) b/c she&#39;s had a hard time getting ahold of me! (working mom, hello!) <br/>Secondly, after I went on about my awesome insurance coverage for PT, she flat out told me what I had been told by my insurance rep wasn&#39;t true, even tho they say it&#39;s that generous. It really isn&#39;t. Well guess what lady, I then went to Southwest orthopedics and received 2 full rounds, about 13 weeks total (leaving a remaining of over 40 sessions of PT left for coverage) JUST LIKE I SAID without paying a dime. Same coverage for any PT. it was not contingent on in-network/out of network. She lost out on so much cash. And not to mention got herself many bad referrals from myself.
