This is the much ballyhooed, long delayed, still unfinished Marpole Safeway. First off I'll state for the record that when it opened it still had a serious roof leak right near the south escalators. Obviously it's overpriced but the service and the calibre of the customers are far superior to the Marine Driver Superstore. The cashiers will bag your groceries and stick them in the cart for you and even get someone to take them to your car for you if need be. They usually carry only one no name brand of everything which is a bummer really because even the most profligate spenders buy some off brand products. The bathroom was decent. I have a feeling the store will become hellaciously overcrowded when the adjoining condo development is finished. Until then this is a pretty nice store.

Staff at this location appear to double as lawyers, giving legal advice to those involved in collisions in its parkade.
