The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

I make a point of filling all my scripts here, where I would previously have dropped them with whomever was along my path. Why? Because: Staff began recognizing my face early on and calling me by my first name. Before dispensing, any possible interactions are checked against previously felled prescriptions and, when appropriate, questions are asked to determine if any OTCs I have at home might also be contraindicated. Prior to ordering in or mixing up anything not covered by my insurance, the staff tell me the price and offer alternative suggestions if any. This disclosure should be the norm for all pharmacies as it is with any other business, but this seems not to be the case as I've quite unsympathetically left other pharmacies holding the bag in response to indignant remarks like "Well, You have to buy it now." or "Not everything is fee." Clear notes are maintained on my profile and every employee working there checks it, e.g., to see that I prefer to be given the larger taller bottles as they are difficult to lose, easy to read, and make excellent storage for drill bits and screws for those of us with OCD. :) Not all the staff grin from ear to ear, but some do. I mention this last because it's least important. We all have our days of drudgery and I care more that Lurch, the head pharmacist, knowns his job than if he can grin like a monkey which, BTW, is a sign of aggression not intelligence.
