Findlay Creek 7 Dental
Reviews
I was very surprised to read the only review about 7Dental so I decided that I would share my positive experiences about the clinic. With a history of somewhat traumatic experiences with my previous dentists throughout my life, I have spent most of my adult life dreading visits to the dentist. That is until I moved to Findlay Creek and discovered the 7Dental clinic. Upon entering the door, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the clinic is bright and cheery. Once in the dental chair, I actually felt at ease after speaking briefly with the dentist, Dr.Ladani who was so friendly and took the time to explain things before any work was done. The overall experience was very pleasant. So far I have had three visits to the clinic and every time I have walked out feeling great! I have recommended 7Dental to my friends and recommend them to anyone else who might be reading these reviews.
I was very clear when I chose this dentist that I preferred direct billing to my insurance company. They assured me this is their policy. I provided my credit card number as a precaution when I was filling out my new patient forms. I had a good check up and cleaning and each person commented on how great my dental coverage is and how lucky I am to be 100 percent covered. When I went to pay the total was $618 without a single cavity. They direct billed $110.00 for the cleaning and charged my credit card for the difference. They assured me they would send me a cheque once they recieved their money from my provider. I called my provider the next day to see why I wasn't approved on the spot and they advised me the claim had come through and been appoved. We could see no reason why I should have been billed. I emailed 7 dental after two weeks requesting they contact me as soon as my reimbursement is available as I would like to pick up the cheque as soon as possible. After three weeks I emailed again and was advised the cheque was available for pick up. I went the next day and no cheque, I was advised it wasn't cleared from the bank yet? Implying the check from my insurance provider to them may bounce so they still could not give me my cheque. I was advised three more days so I went back a week later and was told it had not come in from Greensheild. I showed them the email that said it had and then was advised it was mailed to me. I waited another week and it did not arrive in the mail. They implied that Canada Post was very slow. Several more emails followed until they agreed to cut me another cheque. I went and picked it up at their office. That was my third trip to the office. Still have not recieved the original check (now cancelled) in the mail and I do not believe they ever sent it. A nice office with potential but completely unorganized and unprofessional way of doing business. It was 5 weeks of the runaround. I could have paid it myself and submitted directly to Greensheild and had my money direct deposit within 10 days. Still do not understand their way of doing business but I do not recommend and will not be back. Oh yes and of the $618.00 I was reimbursed $522.00 only, so much for my %100 percent coverage. They added things such as floride which is only covered up to the age of 12. Seems like a cash grab to me.
