Friendly and professional but without the huge costs of most other dentist .Would recommend 100%
My family and I have been an NHS patient at Stepping Stones for many years. The practice is extremely busy (as you would expect any NHS practice to be), however, the staff are always friendly and helpful. I have seen several dentists there, some better than others, but treatment is always good and have never had any problems in over six years. I like the relaxed environment, and the children are always happy to take a trip to Stepping Stones.
If you are looking for accessible and good quality dental care it is probably best to avoid Stepping Stones Dental Practice in Ludlow, Shropshire. Having registered as a private patient in 2008, by 2009 I had moved on. Two reasons for this: firstly, the quality of the dental work was poor and secondly, availability of appointments was simply dreadful. To the first issue: having broken the crown of a lower molar I went to Stepping Stones for a repair. This involved using hard setting putty which I was advised was a permanent repair. Yet, within 3 months it became dislodged and fell out! I returned for remedial work which I should note has at least remained in place. Needless to say, there was no charge for this new repair based on Stepping Stones initial poor quality work. The biggest issue I faced though was simple availability for check-ups and treatment. With a 6 week (minimum) waiting list it proved impossible to access convenient and quick treatment; even their early morning "emergency" slots proved impossible to access! For anybody leading a busy life style, perhaps with a busy job where it is impossible to predict so far in advance the ability to attend a booked apointment, Stepping Stones should be avoided. All in all, an entirely unsatisfactory experience!
