Liz May Sports Therapy Clinic
Reviews
Liz May Sports Therapy Clinic is excellent. I run marathons, and so am always training, which means that I can end up with muscle injury problems. Not only does Liz's work make a huge difference in easing muscle discomfort but she is also very good at showing me various techniques to help further relieve associated aches and pains during recovery. She is polite, friendly and I always recommend her to other runners who have similar issues when it comes down to injury.
DO NOT BOOK WITH LIZ MAY; not only did she double book my appointment, she then called me a liar about the date, despite the fact that i took a copy of the email confirming the time and date of the appointment. She then proceeded to be rude, confrontational and unhelpful. I would not reccomend that anyone books with her. There is a great place in Ivybridge for the same price but with nice, friendly helpful staff. Very poor, very abrupt, very unprofessional.
I was lucky enough to win a raffle prize that Liz had donated about 3 years ago. I will always go to Liz as she is always very welcoming and polite, she has always made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend Liz to anybody looking for a wonderful massage.
Calming demeanor, friendly attitude and a relaxing environment - these are 3 of the things you will not get from Liz May. Before I explain my reasons for this review, I feel it would be fair to point out that my experience is based purely on one exchange of emails and not me attending the clinic. I am sure Liz has many happy clienets who attend with regularity however, her poor customer service from the outset has prevented me from becoming one of these. I was recently provided with a voucher for a 60 minute session with Liz. This was purchased by a manager within my company and donated for a charity raffle. Sadly, the winner of the prize experienced her own problems with Liz relating to a double booking of her appointment so, as I am a long distance runner, she passed the voucher (which was bought and paid for) to me. Now I require regular massages and was looking forward to building a working relationship with Liz, after all her reviews are pretty good, but she refused to honour the voucher. Being diplomatic, I recommended honouring 50% of the voucher to which I received a very aggressive response, stating that she is not obliged to do this. I have worked in customer service for 10 years and I have dealt with numerous masseuses, sports therapists and personal trainers since 2011. In this time, I have encountered some wonderful people (Plymouth has many to choose from) however, it saddens me to say Liz is not one of them. As someone who speaks from experience, I would strongly recommend that you shop around before making a decision on where to go for sports therapy as there are many alternatives where the customer is the main focus.
Brilliant. Highly recommend visiting Liz May - she is always professional, friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. She is very knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to help. Wouldn't go to anyone else! Thank you Liz!
