Maycroft Dental Care Centre

The dentist I now see is Sheena Lalani and the background to this is given below. I've been attending this practice for many years for both the hygienist and dentist. My dentist for most of the time was Richard Browne who was very good. Richard took the fear out of my visits to a dental surgery. When he became part-time I was told that my new dentist would be Sheena Lalani and naturally, as with anything new, I was somewhat apprehensive. However Sheena from the outset made me feel very much at ease and this was due to her professional, confident and calm approach. She too has a sensitive touch and dispels any fear of visits to the dentist. Over the years I've found all of the Maycroft staff to be very friendly and caring and am very happy to recommend Sheena Lalani.
I have been seeing Mr Brown for 20 years or more. Over time as my family came along they have joined the practice under Mr Brown. We have found the care and treatments nothing but perfect and have never had hesitation in recommending the Maycroft Practice to anyone that asks, or needs a quality caring dental surgery. Mr Brown has cared for my children from pre-teeth and has ensured that they never feared the dentist by giving kind encouragement and advise. Overall we could not ask for better dentists.
I was nervous about going to a dentist as i hadn't been for quite a while but within a couple of minutes of talking to the people who work at Maycroft Dental Care Centre i was put at ease with their friendly demeanor and their professionalism. Everything was thoroughly explained and it is quite apparent that the staff there enjoy their work. I feel now that my teeth are in good hands.I would recommend Maycroft to a family member or a friend and also, as you are reading this to you. Thank you Maycroft Dental Care Centre!
I come to this dentist about 4 years ago and the attention was very professional. Very happy with the results, so I kept going for my regular checkouts. Last visit the treatment received was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Even close to criminal offence or in fact a criminal offence (not for me to judge it, I am not a court judge). My last 2 visits were horrible. In one of them I had a filling and the dentist told me I will probably have pain for around 2 weeks. I was much better before the treatment and the dentist knew it. That is why the dentist surpraisingly advised me for not to worry about that pain. In my last visit I had 2 teeth done. One tooth only needed a bit of composite filling and the dentist just damaged it with the drill and put a filling that come down 2 days later (first class botch job, just 2 days). Another tooth was filled with the excuse that the old filling had come out, but I had never had a filling in that tooth. Another damage for a tooth in which I had no pain and I had never been been treated. Again, another damage for a tooth perfectly sane. I didn't do anything, but I should have filled a report somewhere. To the NHS, to the police (I don't know where)... I felt the damage was on purpose because last time, while I was at the waiting room, her husband went down to talk to the recepcionist and I could hear him shouting for not to book "him" for any more appointments "whatever it takes" (who? me? I guess so). I was absolutely shocked. I think it was a criminal offence what they did: damaging my teeth for keeping me away for an issue I still can't figure it out. They never told me which was the problem. They just damaged my teeth and I had to guess later for his sights at me through the reception window and for the treatment I received that they were talking about me and the guy that they didn't want to book for any more appointments (whatever it takes) was me. Absolutely shocking. Nearly criminal.
Excellent service: calming and professional. I had two extractions in next to no time with no pain during or after the operation. Plus after care was very thoroughly explained. No hesitation in recommending Maycroft.
