Dr. Kenneth W. Chancey, DMD

I went to get my teeth cleaning with plans to get a cavity filled the next week. Instead, I was asked to sign forms for a root canal or tooth extraction. When I panicked after the dentist told me I had to get my tooth pulled RIGHT NOW, the dental hygienist would not allow me to get out of the chair and told me I had to stay there & asked if I was ready for the gas. I told her I was leaving, so she went to get Dr. Chancey. She came back to tell me I had to meet with him at the front desk. Thankfully, there I was only rudely spoken to by the Dr. and his office staff and given a bill for the teeth cleaning that has yet to be performed. I cancelled the next appointment, only to be called by staff for payment of the cleaning I never had. Terrible experience, I obviously do not recommend!
I recently had dental care from Dr. Chancey and was very pleased with all facets of my treatment. Dr. Chancey and his crew took very good care of me and I will continue to see him for my future dental needs. I highly recommend his services.
I am the truest form of dental PHOBIA, I HATE the dentist with every bit of my being. Yes I am a big baby. I avoided going to the dentist like the plague..which resulted in years of trauma to my teeth. I wasn't afraid of the dental cost..but rather the drill...ugh, the needle...ewe...the hands in my mouth..after years of avoiding it..decay began..i'd say ah..let em fall out, then I'll get veneers or dentures. So dumb. I am now all better...Three trips to my amazing artist and magician..Dr chancey has restored my smile that I refused to offer the world for 15 years. Minimal pain and my fears are gone. If I ever leave enterprise, alabama..I will return to Dr. Chancey for all my dental needs. I'm in love with this dentist and his staff! they ROCK!!!
Dr Chancey and Staff have been taking care of my teeth for 17 years. Great Dentist!Super Staff
If you're military and using United Concordia, beware! This dentist ALWAYS sends a bill after your visit for something or another and does not warn up front that there will be an additional cost (I visited a total of three times). I find that very annoying, especially after five years in the military and three other dentists that never charged additional. It came to the point where I'd even ASK when making an appointment or having a treatment that I didn't want anything that Tricare would not cover...and lo and behold a month later receive a bill. While the office is clean and the staff polite, the dentist himself spends very little time looking or speaking with you. Once while having a routine cleaning, the hygienist broke some of my previous dental work and then tried to play it off and say that it needed replaced anyways and I needed to take care of the damage. I was eventually able to get them to reimburse me, but I don't feel it should have come to that. They should have offered to take care of it from the start. Overall, I was not pleased with this office and would not recommend or revisit.
