BEING DISABLED AND IN A WHEELCHAIR I USUALLY GO TO WALMART LATER IN THE EVENING WHEN CROWDS ARE THINNED OUT. I HAVE TO UNLOAD MY WHEELCHAIR WHICH TAKES A FEW MINUTES. A CARWAS PARKED IN THE HANDICAP PARKING SPACE NEXT TO ME. THIS CAR HAD NO HANDICAP TAG OR PLACARD. I SHOPPED FOR THREE HOURS AND THE CAR WAS STILL THERE. I POINTED THIS OUT TO THE NIGHT MANAGER 'MARK'. HE WAS ONLY INTERESTED IN DOING NOTHING TELLING ME THE POLICE DEPARTMENT COMES AROUND AND CHECKS THIS KIND OF THING. THE PARKING LOT IS THE PROPERTY OF WALMART AND HAD A SECURITY GUARD PATROLLING THE LOT. MARK SAID HE WOULD PAGE FOR THE CAR OWNER TO COME MOVE THE CAR BUT NEVER DID. HE ONLY TOLD ME HOW MUCH TROUBLE IT WOULD BE FOR HIM. I DID NEED A PAIR OF GARDEN SHEARS BUT GUESS WHAT...THIS ISLE WAS TOTALLY BLOCKED WITH PALLETS OF MERCHANDISE. I LEFT MY CART WITH A COUPLE OF HUNDRED WORTH OF STUFF RIGHT THERE AND LEFT. OH YEAH, I TOOK PLENTY OF PICTURES FOR PROOF. DISABLED CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE AS IMPORTANT AS ANY OTHER. MARK NEEDS TO SPEND A DAY WORKING FROM A WHEELCHAIR. I WILL PURSUE THIS THROUGH WALMART AND THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT WALMART AGAIN.
My wife was there about a week before christmas and found a toy that had been returned and marked down for $5 less than a new toy of the same kind. When she went to check out it scanned for the full price. The manager on duty was near by and got involved with the transaction when he heard what was going on. Not only did he refuse to let my wife have the toy for the price marked but attempted to rip the price sticker off while she watched. She got so upset that she left over $100 worth of other stuff that she had spent more than an hour picking out for Christmas gifts. We live less than 1 mi from this store and she swears that she will never shop there again.
One Sunday night after chruch my mother and I went to get groceries for our family. It was late and there were about three lanes open. The lines were going back into the clothing section, well, after about an hour or more the cashier closed the lane. My mother was furious. She grabbed my hand and her purse and started for the exit without the groceries. An employee aproached us and asked us what was wrong. She told him we had been waiting for over an hour and that the line we were in had just closed. He asked about what she was going to do with the groceries, it was full, and she said she was leaving it, just like the cashier left. From then on we go the 20 mins to Opelika.
I walked into this store to attempt to find a money clip to buy. Instead of searching the entire store for what I wanted, I asked a nearby employee if they carried money clips. He shook his head and responded, "Man, I don't even know," turned around, and walked away from me while I just stood there befundled. I left without even searching for what I wanted and I will never shop their again.
Needed a new tire, went in to talk to someone, was completely ignored. When staff finally talked to us, they were completely unhelpful. Don't bother.
