I have taken my daughter to just about every dentist in Southeastern Arizona. Dr. Hales is the only dentist that has been able to successfully perform work on her without sedation or me helping to restrain her. I forgot to get prior-approval with our insurance company a couple times and I feel his rates were very reasonable. He explains everything and his demeanor is so calm and comforting that it's almost pleasant to have work done. Be sure and request the Bill Cosby at the dentist act to watch while you are having work done, it will crack you up! :)

Dr. Hales was our family dentist for several years. We have since moved to another city where the dental care is sub-standard at best. However, we have been very pleased with the work Dr. Hales performed a few years ago--including fillings, crowns and routine care--and have had no problems with any of it. He and the hygienist were great with our small children (ages 3 and 4), making them feel comfortable as it was their first experience with a dentist. We highly recommend Dr. Hales and his staff!

Dr. Hales was great with all of my children. He is patient and soft-spoken and he always made my kids feel at ease. He performed an extraction on one of my kids and put in a space maintainer that held up for years until the permanent tooth came in. He performed a minor surgery on my 4 year old, filled teeth, and always was able to get us in on the same day when we had a couple of emergencies. Dr. Hales is detail-oriented and he always makes sure the job is done right.The staff is courteous and professional and I would recommend Dr. Hales to my friends and neighbors.

I had a broken tooth, one really hard to save. Dr. Hales went out of his way to put on a difficult crown. I have gone to him several times since for other dental work. He takes time to inform me about what needs to be done and really works carefully to do a very good job sensitively and painlessly. I really like the man who cleans teeth, too.
