THE best dentist and office staff in the world!! I drive 4 hours from Northern Nevada to Brentwood for my dental needs. They are always so gentle and very interested in you. No pain ever and I had several crowns, root canals and deep cleanings done and not once did I experience pain and even afterward no soreness or pain. It may sound funny to say, But I love my dentist and his office staff!!

I saw Dr Alkoury for a chipped front tooth and minor pain in an upper back molar few months ago.. He found an abcess under the root canal and damaged bone.He removed the tooth, cleaning out the decayed bone and did a bone transplant. I needed pain meds for one day. My sinus and ear pain went away immdiately. I will be having a tooth implant in a month. He repaired the front tooth which had been chipped in the past and not repaired correctly, which is why it continued to break off He also discovered inflamed radial nerves which appear to be caused by a Temporomandibular (jaw hinge) Joint problem. I have a great deal of lateral movement in my jaw. I have had severe pain in my shoulders, neck and scapular area for a number of years which has not abated in spite of medical treatment and sugery. I woke up with pain and computer work was agony. I have been using the dental appliances that Dr Jamil Alkhoury devised for the TMJ problems which he believes is causing the C4-C5 & shoulder & neck pain for a month today. Right scapular & C5/C5 "red hot iron" pain is gone. With great pressure over C4/C5 bones, I can feel slight tenderness. Left shoulder & arm pain is now a 2 instead of 10. His computerized exams show bite is correcting, less movement to left & vibration when opening & closing mouth. Neuro exam shows increased ability to resist pressure when radial nerves stimulated. With appliance in he cannot push arms down. Sleep apnea shows borderline now & I can sleep 6-8 hours instead of 3-4. Pain does not wake me now. I have amazing differences in energy & pain relief. I had no idea TMJ joint could cause so many problems with radial nerve inflamation. I never had TMJ pain, so did not even think of it, although I have been in the medical field for 40 years. Nor have my doctors ever suggested it might be causing the shoulder and arm pain. The range of motion with my arms is excellent and virtually w/o pain now. Will continue use of dental appliances as we adjust things. Also now receiving laser trmt. for a few tender pressure points in shoulders. Highly recommend this dentist.

Dr. Alkhoury is the best! I had my fillings done by Dr. Alkhoury, it was great experience yet quick and painless .. He is a true artist and passionate about his work. I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a great dentist.

Dr. Alkhoury is simply the BEST! Our family has been going to Brentwood Family Dental for years and even when we moved we couldnt find a better dentist. So despite the commute we came back to him because no one else was on his level. From his receptionist to the hygienist we always receive the best care. They are so accomadating when it comes to emergencies and we are very grateful for that. The environment of the office is so friendly, and any procedure that is done is descused to make us feel comfortable. I want to give my thanks to Dr. Alkhoury for his generosity and professional care. I give his office as well as him five stars!
