It is exaggerating to say that "I loved" going to the dentist. Even so, I am very confident that my dentist and all staff are state of the art knowledgeable and compassionate. I know that I am in very good hands.
I have had nothing but good experiences with this dentist. The staff is friendly and professional. I can't say the same for the previous owner. He was a nice guy, but both my wife and I had some really bad experiences. We are really happy with Scheiner and staff.
My family has been to Dr. Scheiner for a few years since she took over the small town practice for the preceding dentist. My daughter had trouble 2 years ago when she needed a tooth filled. It hurt when she bit down for a couple of days after the filling. She went in to get it "filed down" some more. It was still painful for her and she needed to go back again for some more work on it. She was then told that she'd need a root canal and was referred to a Dr. David Scheiner, Ms. Scheiners husband, who is an endodontics (root canal) specialist in a nearby town. We thought that was a little odd, our daughter was only 19 and had healthy teeth except for the cavity. She had another dentist look at it and was informed that she needed a cap on it because the tooth had been damaged. Not a root canal. Fast forward two years later, my husband went in for a filling (that wasn't bothering him at all), ended up being told he needed 3 teeth filled. The assistant had said she didn't notice anything on the x-rays. He was then informed by the dentist that "he now needs a root canal, here is a referral to my husband's practice". If it had only happened once, I would've put it down to bad luck or poor dentistry, but twice in my family? I feel like we've been scammed. I've read reviews on other sites complaining of the exact same thing. Went in for a filling, came out needing a root canal and being referred to her husband's practice.
