I suffer from multiple disabilities and unfortunately have to take multiple medications. It was extremely nice to walk into a pharmacy and be treated like a human being and not given grieving over the medications that the pharmacist is handing over to me. This will forever be in my California pharmacy. Great people, great place, and besides just the pharmacy there is plenty of knickknacks and goodies.I highly recommend this place.

This is two great businesses in one. The compounding pharmacy at the back of the store is great for my mother-in-law, as she is able to fill all of her prescriptions there. And the pharmacist is the perfect mix of personable, knowledgable, and professional. The combination of interesting jewelry, unique gifts (including for kids), and great greeting cards that are available at the front of the store make it a perfect place to shop for any occasion. My wife knows that when I shop for jewelry for her, Parkside is the place. And she hasn't been disappointed yet. Great neighborhood business. Recommend it without reservation.

I go to this pharmacy all the time for a hard-to-find and therefore very expensive medication which the pharmacist (john) has managed to keep in stock despite it's limited supply for me over the years, at less than half the price of the only other pharmacy to stock this locally, in palcerville, which can treat my malady. Now, I have to say that he has never delivered anything less than 120% for me and for my wife, and he has valued our business as if it were gold every single time we had been here to pick up medication. Now, the below is in response to Keith's review, in contrast to my own experience. He is anything but rude really - always cheerful and happy to help and friendly and charismatic and grateful to own a business. I don't believe he would work so hard, only to lay it all out on the line with an attempt to swindle you out of a few dollars by demanding from you twice the cost of an *inexpensive* generic compounded medication. So the guy invests probably a million dollars creating such a cool hole-in-the-wall only to risk it all for twenty bucks???? Give me a break! Hello people!?? are you reading this?? It makes Zero sense at all, and compared against my own personally superb experiences with this place and it's owner, it makes even less sense. Just try an experiment real quick: call them for just a moment (452-2200), and see if they are anything but the most helpful, most knowledgeable, most warm, most caring and most cool, calm and patient staff you will ever met. This place has been getting some negative attention lately, which I think is unwarranted, as this pharmacy and its owner has been nothing short of awesome time and again. I live in Fair Oaks, and my wife and I drive all the way down to 16th street to get our medication here, and there are many good reasons why we keep going back. Just give them a call or drop by, You'll see! And you'll probably be a happy customer of a great pharmacy, as we are.

Parkside Pharmacy is an exceptional pharmacy that has made my life and wellness much much better. Since switching my prescriptions from Rite Aid to Parkside about 3 years ago, the hassle and stress of Rx that I had very reluctantly been forced to accept over the years has diappeared from my life, thanks to the care, service, and friendliness of the good people at Parkside. It gets a "10" on my scale. The gift shop that is part of the pharmacy is a great place for cards and unusual gifts as well.
