I visited Dr. McRae's office for the first time today 10/10/14. OMG what an experience. I am totally blown away! The lady (do not remember her name) who did my cleaning was fabulous. Everytime she picked up something or touched my mouth she told me exactly what she was doing. Every single question I had she answered without hesitation. Dr. McRae was fabulous as well! He was very pleasant and you could tell that they actually care about their patients. Through conversation they try and learn more about their patients and actually make an effort to get to know them. I got awesome gifts to take home including a lunch bag, a coffee cup, toothbrush and toothpaste!This was the best experiencing I've ever had and for the first time in my life I do not threaten going to a dentist office. This is not my usual dentist, but I was in Athens for school and I needed to see a local dentist because mine was too far away for me to wait. HUGE mistake. They told me to come in for an appointment for get a filling, then at that appointment they told me they didn't have time to give me a filling and to make another appointment. If they didn't have time for me, why did they make me come in for an appointment in the first place? I came in for the second appointment, and they told me I had 9 cavities, which when I went to my dentist at home, they told me I had ZERO cavities. They basically took advantage of me because I didn't know any better than to believe what they were saying. The dentist I saw was a woman, and she was extremely unfriendly and impolite to me. I let them fill 4 of the supposed "9" non existent cavities that I had, and one of the fillings they gave me was so bad, that it required me to need a ROOT CANAL because they drilled too close to my root. Root canals are very expensive on their own, not to mention the 4 unnecessary fillings they charged me for. IF POSSIBLE GO TO A DIFFERENT DENTIST! I wish I would've waited to see my usual dentist at home because it would have saved me a lot of trouble and money in the long run.

I really enjoyed my first visit there as new customer because they give great new customer gifts! And the technician and dentist were very friendly and answered all my questions.

The office staff did a wonderful job of making me feel welcome and at home. Dr. Popescu did a fantastic job, along with Nancy, and Dr. Popescu actually called to check on me two days later. Great staff with friendly service. Recommended!

I enjoyed my 1st visit at McRae's office. Everyone was really nice and explained every step. Melissa was really sweet and kept me relaxed. She was honest about my teeth and made sure to explain all of my options. She even told me to call if I had any concerns over the weekend. I have been to other dentists who didn't think I could handle the information about each step of my procedure. I definitely plan to come back and make this my regular dentist.
