My 5 year old son had to go to the ER after falling off the monkey bars at daycare. He broke both his ulna and radius. Three days later ( it was a weekend) Dr. Tarek Nessouli saw him. When we came in doctor said he only broke his radius but when we inquired about the ulna he looked at the x rays again and said oh yeah i see that too. He reccommended a wrist brace ( like the ones you buy at eckerd for carpel tunnel) it was 3 times too big for his arm ( it fit my husbands arm). After inquiring about a cast he said rudely and annoyed that he would do one but will be in the ER in the middle of the night getting it cut off because it would swell and if thats what we wanted he would do it. He then brought in two half cast that would go up to my son's shoulder and be held together with gauze and when we inquired about color he said they have some but he would not do them because he is traditional. He even made the comment that this is why he does not like dealing with pediatrics and could never be a pediatrician. We declined and got the brace to have some support and contacted our pediatrician. They recommended Children Orthopaedic of Atlanta and they got us in the next morning. They said they have never seen a brace used on a child and it did not offer any support needed. Childrens ortho casted it with a nice blue forearm cast and a nice professional attitude, It was well worth the hour and a half drive. I would not recommend this unprofessional doctor to anyone that wants quality care. Go here and see this doctor expect a lot of pain later for inadequate care. HORRIBLE!!
