Kool Smiles Dentist
Reviews
Dr. Ed is superb the first dentist there that was personable and cared about my son's wellbeing at Kool Smiles but overall it's an interesting fun place for children and most of the dental hygenists and the desk staff are wonderful.

I went yesterday to kool smiles on walnut avenue Dalton ga to have root tips taken out the doctor was good I paid extra for gas. He worked for a long time to get them out.I knew it was going to hurt later he said he was faxing my prescription over to Walgreen to go get them take one before the numbness goes away that it was going to hurt. He's not kidding it does. But some one did not do there job my meds was not faxed over and now day 2 and they still have not got it straight. It hurts very bad. So if you go there make sure they do there job before you leave or you will be in pain.
I took my two boys who are 9 and 13 to Kool Smiles for the first time about two weeks ago. Our experience was very different than all the reviews I have read here. The waiting room is large with a nice play area for the little ones. The front desk checked me in and gave me paperwork to fill out. They were very helpful and friendly. I sat down to wait with my boys but someone came and quickly got us. She took us to a private consultation room and reviewed the health histories of both my sons, then she asked me if I would like to come back while they had their cleaning. There was a comfortable long bench for parents to sit on in the back. The room was large with 8 chairs for the kids. An assistant took them one at a time to the xray room and then put them in chairs beside eachother where two hygienists cleaned their teeth. After a while they called me over to show me where my boys were missing while brushing. My 13 year old had quite a bit of tartar built up and the hygienist took lots of extra time cleaning his teeth. A dentist came in later and introduced herself to me then examined their teeth. An assistant then took us out to a private consultation room and explained the treatment that my 13 year old needed and the front desk made their next appointment. The staff seems very organized and friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. My kids liked it there too and my 9 year old asked me if this was going to be our regular dental office now...when I said yes, he went "Yaaay"....I notice that the other reviews here are kind of old so maybe there is new staff or management now? Anyway we are definitely going back and I would recommend them to anyone:)
I have never had such a poor experience with a "high quality" dentist! I had a appointment scheduled for 1hr after the office closed? no one bothered to call! We just showed up and the doors were closed!!! The next day we called an called and we got no answer! So the next day I went there and rescheduled only for them to cancel on me one day before my new appointment for the second time! And this is after I have taken the day off work to make this appointment!!! So displeased! If this is how you do business you might as well close the doors!
