For those unaware of the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. It is a charitable foundation that assists those lacking the insurance or money for hearing and vision products. Having said that, a member of the foundation "go to members" doesn't seem to understand charity. Upon scraping up, over a period of six months, the money to pay for the hearing aid package, the hearing specialist on the foundations list was chosen. This member was Dr. Earl S. Golightly. Upon calling the Dr. Golightly's office, we were informed that the money being paid to his office by the Lighthouse Foundation was not going to be enough for his taste. A further 80 to 120 dollars was required prior to receiving the hearing aids and follow up visits from the Lighthouse Foundation. How fair is it that a Dr. working with charity, not only gets the money that is allotted to them by the charity, wants even more on top of that. I understand that things like this don't come cheap or free, but then again they aren't getting it for free, are they? I propose a boycott of this so-called chartable doctor by any person going to or thinking of going to Dr. Golightly for any services, paid out of pocket, by insurance or by charity. If he can't understand the concept of charity or is just to greedy, then he doesn't need any business at all.
