I went into the local Kmart to purchase 3 items. There were only 2 checkouts(on a Saturday morning). The first line had several customers, so I chose the second line which only had 2 people in front of me. They only had 3-4 items each. It took at least 5 minutes for the first guy to get done because the card swiping thing is too complicated. The next lady took 10 minutes, partly for the same reason, and also because she tried to check her Rewards Points, and the checkout person had to call for help. When I thought she was finally done, the cash register tape got jammed up. When it was my turn, I lied and said I had no Rewards Card in a vain attempt to speed up the process. The other line wasn't moving any faster, and this seems to be normal, at least every time I've gone in there. I was going to go online and privately leave a comment to management, but the website didn't seem to have a way to do this, so I had to write a review for all to see instead. All of the items I purchased today could easily be bought at other local stores, and next time they will be!
