Schmitt Family Dentistry

After being referred to Schmitt Family Dentistry, I have now been going there for over 2 years. I absolutely love the service they provide. The dentists are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and the staff is funny, friendly, and caring. I took my one year old son to Schmitt Family Dentistry for his first check-up and the staff did an outstanding job of calming his fears, checking his teeth, keeping him pain free, and making him not afraid of the dentist. I would recommend Schmitt Family Dentistry to ANYONE; you will not be disappointed!

I hate going to the dentist, but I've had such a positive experience with Schmitt Family Dentistry that I felt inclined to share my experience. Like I said above, I hate going to the dentist. I don't know what it is, but it has always just given me the screaming meemies. Before I made an appointment here, I hadn't been to the dentist in many years because of said fear. I was recommended Schmitt Family Dentistry by some folks at work and some friends I have in the area. I'm not from around here, but work in Clinton, so I wanted somewhere I could go on my lunch break. I made the call. The ease with which I made an appointment was one of the first steps to reducing my anxiety. I managed to get an appointment very quickly, the receptionist was friendly, and I was able to complete it while on a short break at work without being placed on hold several times or having any of the issues I've run into with other types of doctor's offices. Now, appointment day rolls up and I have a knot in my stomach the size of a softball. I go in and everyone couldn't have been nicer. Reception was warm and short (I only waited maybe 10 minutes), though to be fair it was one of the first appointments of the day and I didn't have anyone ahead of me. The cleaning was quick and thorough. I remembered the dread of lying there helpless at other offices, but the hygienist here was nice and even complimented me on my brushing regimen (having not gone to the dentist for several years I was expecting to be told all my teeth had to go). I had personally adopted a pretty strict cleaning regimen (so as to avoid going for as long as possible). Now, the dentist came in and poked around in my mouth (like they tend to do) and did find a teeny cavity on one of my wisdom teeth (I am a poor sucker who still has the room for all four of them). Here's the cool part, he offered to just fill it right then. Not a make an appointment in two weeks kind of deal, but offered to do it right then (it was small, so it could just be that it really was just a quick fix YMMV). I said yes and he filled it up and I was on my way. All in all, I think I was in the chair for no more than a half hour to 45 minutes (including the prep and time it took for the filling). I can't speak to emergency services or any of the other fancy dental operations, but I do recommend this office to folks I work with who are looking for a dentist that is friendly and thorough. It's great for folks who have any anxieties about going to the dentist as they did a great job of dispelling those for me and I now don't get nervous about calling them up when I need an appointment (though I still don't look forward to going--some things are hard to change).

Really fast and clean work. to bad it wasn't the tooth i needed fixed. I am still in pain and now have an extra dental bill. Also customer service of the Dr. and the front end staff was poor at best.
